Lunch and Breakfast

Freeburg C.C.S.D. #70 offers breakfast and lunch choices to students. The district strives to promote healthy living by providing nutritious meals.

The cost for breakfast for all students is $1.75.  Breakfast is served from 7:45 am - 8:05 am at both schools.  The cost for lunch for students in Grades K - 2 is $2.50 and Grades 3 - 8 is $2.75.  Lunches are served from 10:55 until 12:25 at the Elementary School and from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the Primary Center.

The cost for a reduced lunch is $0.40.

IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS SUMMER FOOD
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) are federal nutrition programs that provide free and nutritious meals to children 18 years old and younger.  The summer nutrition programs are sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education.  The Illinois Hunger Coalition's Hunger Hotline  (1-800-359-2163)  serves as the statewide phone number for families to call to find a Summer Meals site near them.

To file a program complaint or discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.  To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.  Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:

Free or Reduced Lunch Program

Freeburg C.C.S.D. #70 participates in the National School Lunch program to all eligible families the opportunity to apply for free or reduced lunch.  

To determine if a family qualifies for free or reduced lunch, the application (found below) should be completed and sent to the district office.  The office staff will process the application and notify the parent/guardian of the meal status decision (free, reduced or denied). Students cannot receive free or reduced meals until the parent or guardian has submitted an application.
