Freeburg Community Consolidated School District No. 70 believes the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities is crucial to the success of many students. The athletic programs at FCCSD 70 provide opportunities for students to use their physical talents and skills in a competitive arena, to learn the importance of teamwork, to learn leadership skills, and to promote sportsmanship.
Freeburg District No. 70 is a member of the Cahokia Conference. Baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading are offered to students in grades 6-8. Cross Country is offered to students in grades 5 - 8. Students who make an athletic team must have record of a physical exam on file before participating in practice or games.
Freeburg CCSD #70 will provide transportation for students for field trips, athletic events, and music/band trips. If a parent/guardian wishes to decline transportation provided by our district, the "Transportation Liability Release" must be executed and returned to the district office twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the event.
